When Jorgen and Matias started 2famous I guess we all figured they would become famous…I just didn’t see MYSELF becoming too famous. I imagined myself as the Liv Tyler character in That Thing You Do. She’s the girlfriend of one of the lead characters, loved and respected, and certainly a big part behind the scenes (but not sad and dumped in the end, obvi). Things have changed though, for now I am emerging as one of the faces of 2famous — not to mention our other co-blogger, Meghan, who is now receiving endless amounts of fame and PAID job opportunities based on her 2famous work.
This morning a radio talk show host called asking to interview me tonight on his show about our epic blog list. He said the show was in Arabic and he’d like me to be the spokesperson (and token Arabic speaker) of 2famous. Of course I agreed, but HOLY SHIT! Unlike Jorgo and Mateo, I haven’t made the interviewing rounds before, so this is my first ‘appearance’ on a media platform. And it’s not even in my native language.
It might get a little messy but I’m trying not to freak out about it. I’ll pretend it’s an Arabic radio show my classmates and I recorded back in college. Then it will seem fun. I’ll just ignore the millions of listeners hanging on my every word and giggling when I fumble.
The interview is on a show called Tawk Show with Tony Tawk. It’s a social media show geared towards the youth, on VDL Lebanon 100.3 and 100.5 FM, from 9.30 pm to11.15 pm (Beirut time). Like I said I’m going to answer a couple questions about the blog list that’s making a buzz around the country.
I need some support, encouragement, and motivation guys! Like, tell me you love me or something, even if I have a funny accent.
