The third week of October always marks the BEST time of the year, because it’s MY BIRTHDAY!! This week is a special b-day edition dedicated to ME for my 24th birthday on Sunday (October 21). Although I may not always celebrate in an extravagant style, I’ve been collecting and treating myself to birthday songs my whole life. Here’s this week’s roundup so you can auditorily party with me.
1. Happy Birthday: Altered Images
This is the coolest new wave birthday song of all time. I’ve been listening to it every year since I was 16. So, this one is dedicated to Me.
2. Birthday Suit: The Weeknd
I’m going to slow down and sex it up a little bit for this one. It’s dedicated to me (again) for my preferred birthday outfit…NOTHING! The Weeknd is one of my favorite artists, so it’s nice to know he was thinking about me when he wrote this song. Love.
3. Birthday Sex: Jeremih
WARNING: SUPER SEXY! This song is about one of those presents that you’re supposed to get everyday but when it’s your birthday it has to be super crazy special. I’d say it’s more for the birthday morning and/or your birthday cool down after the club. Hopefully you’re not puking (not so bad, it’s your birthday!).
4. Happy Birthday: Stevie Wonder
Let’s bring the party out of the bedroom again to close our eyes and shake our heads to Stevie Wonder! I got to celebrate for Mr. Web’s birthday this past summer and noticed how HILARIOUS this song is when a group of people end up singing it together. Let’s do that for me too!
5. Happy Birthday: The Beatles
Fun Fact! My sister, Margaux, and I have the same birthday!! When she was five years old I was born and she always said I was her present. That is why my final song is dedicated to US because every year we send this song to each other. Happy Birthday Margaux!!
Have a great weekend and happy birthday to all!
